Professional Car Racer
Ironmind.ai proudly welcomes Edgar Lau—professional GT3 driver, high-performance coach, and event director—as our first global brand ambassador.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Edgar’s path to racing glory is more than just a story—it’s a real-life version that outpaces the 2023 film Gran Turismo. Like the movie’s protagonist, Edgar first made his name in the virtual world, mastering Gran Turismo before earning a place in Nissan Japan’s driver development program.
But unlike fiction, Edgar’s journey has unfolded on real circuits across the world—from Le Mans to Dubai, from Thunderhill to Formula series entries—backed by relentless grit, quick thinking, and elite performance under pressure.
We first met Edgar at Ironman California in 2022, and quickly realized that beyond his racing talent, Edgar uses Ironman triathlon as a tool to sharpen both his body and mind. The race includes a 3.8 km (2.4 mi) swim, a 180 km (112 mi) bike ride, and a 42.2 km (26.2 mi) marathon run—a full-day test of endurance that mirrors the high-pressure demands of racing.
For Edgar, Ironman isn’t just cross-training—it’s a mental fitness ritual that builds focus, fortitude, and the capacity to adapt under pressure.
Edgar has built a career that proves speed alone isn’t enough. At the elite GT3 level, racing demands real-time data processing, constant strategy shifts, and communication with engineers—all while enduring up to 3.5G of physical force at cornering and maintaining emotional control.
“At 300 kilometers per hour, you’re not just reacting—you’re managing live data, scanning the track, talking to engineers, and staying emotionally steady under intense physical force—often up to 3.5G. Mental clarity isn’t optional. It’s everything.”
In our conversations, Edgar shared how racing, much like triathlon, is a mental sport masked by physical intensity. From long-haul endurance events like the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, to last-minute calls to race in Italy, Germany, or Macau, his lifestyle demands adaptability, focus, and resilience—traits that Ironmind aims to cultivate through its platform.
“Many top racers exhibit traits often associated with ADHD—such as quick thinking, fast reflexes, and intense focus under pressure. But racing isn’t solo. You’re constantly communicating with engineers, reading telemetry, adapting strategy in real time. That’s why mindset training is the hidden engine of elite driving.”
At Ironmind.ai, we believe mental fitness is the next frontier of performance—and Edgar exemplifies that philosophy on and off the track. His training regimen spans beyond driving: he is a triathlete, a coach, and a mentor for others navigating high-performance environments.
As our first ambassador, Edgar will:
Beyond personal glory, Edgar is driven by purpose. He’s helping others—runners, non-athletes, fellow racers—build the confidence to challenge their mental limits. From his early days as a gamer in Hong Kong to training new drivers in California, he is living proof that mental strength isn’t just important—it’s trainable.
“I want to use my story to motivate others—to show that the mind can be your best engine. And Ironmind gives me the tools to prove it.”
Edgar Lau represents the very soul of Ironmind.ai: a fusion of elite athleticism, psychological resilience, and the future of performance technology. His story is real. His journey is ongoing. And his partnership with Ironmind is just getting started.
